Empowering through Education

India has seen a huge growth spurt in the services sector.  In recent times there has been a big boom in the BPO/KPO sector.

India now faces the challenge of generating an appropriate supply response to provide an efficient and professional workforce to keep its edge in this sector. Indians annually spend up to $8 billion to send their children abroad for higher studies and technical

Training. The same with multi nationals in India who are forced to send their employees abroad for training purposes, thus spending millions of dollars in the process. Why can’t higher education of Indian students with international standards be achieved in India? What stops Indian education providers from giving world-class international education right here on Indian soil? There is a real challenge to expand capacities in higher education and keep ahead of the curve of rising domestic and global demand.

The enactment of the much awaited “foreign education bill” has been the first huge step taken by the Indian Government in improving the quality of education available to the Indian masses.  Though this bill has generated a huge interest among foreign universities and colleges, a major drawback of the bill has been the huge investment required by the foreign institutions as well as a curb on the percentage of profit that can be remitted. Foreign educational institutions are thus looking for ways to introduce their programs of study to India without incurring the huge costs involved.

Keeping this in mind, Thirdwave, who have always been pioneers in the field of education, have come up with the unique concept of amalgamating the foreign educational institutions with their Indian counterparts. Thirdwave is actively working towards narrowing this disparity between supply and demand of high quality foreign education by striving to bring together foreign education providers and Indian colleges. This would be a unique marriage which would highly benefit the foreign institution, Indian college and Indian as well as foreign students. It could be a platform of exchange of ideas, concepts and technology beneficial to all.  The foreign institutions, with their unique programs of study and pedagogy could, without huge investments, enter the Indian market with its thirst for foreign education. As they have done in Singapore, most foreign varsities will bring down the price tag involved in getting a foreign degree, largely thanks to the lower cost of living and ancillary expenses in India. Several foreign universities have already begun acquiring land in India to set up their campuses.

Indian educational institutes, which tie-up with these foreign institutions will benefit greatly from such collaboration. They would be able to offer on their campuses in India programs of demand that Indian students now go abroad to study.  They would have the added attraction of eminent foreign faculty mentoring their students.

The Thirdwave Advantage

Thirdwave, with its vast network of associations among foreign educational institutions is aptly placed in a position well able to assist the Indian colleges in getting the affiliation from reputed universities/colleges in UK, US, Canada, Singapore etc. These colleges conduct some of the most in demand programmes on Indian  campuses. Thirdwave already has tie-ups with foreign institutions who are greatly interested in entering the Indian educational market.

We will assist you in getting affiliation from reputed universities of various countries. Our association will give your college the early bird advantage in this changing scenario
